Dry eyes can occur due to several reasons. The poor quality of tears is one of the most important reasons of all. Tears carry certain kinds of enzymes that help the eyes not to dry easily. Another enzyme called mucin is present in the tears, which retains the constant contact with the eyes. The main function of enzymes is to eradicate the excess of oil produced by the eyes. If any of these chemical changes are missing, they lead to complete dryness of eyes.
Whenever a particle enters your eyes, you feel so agitated and get utterly concerned about how to get rid of that unknown particle. This can also be one of the reasons of dry eyes. Another reason could be a burning sensation in eyes, sudden covering of eyes with dust particles that enable the person to view anything. These are just a few reasons that can cause dry eyes. Conversely, there is a much more brutal warning sign mentioned from all the above. This is loss in proper visualization due to a cloudy layer that covers the corneas exterior side. This layer encourages the growth of bacteria thus resulting in making the situation worse than before for the person.
